ECUADOR!!!
Yes, we finally made it. I know it´s kind of hard to believe, eh?
We are here in Quito and the new town is a bit like the arse end of Blackpool but very, very cheap. So we fit right in! Who would have thought that we could travel half way round the world and feel right at home? I know, it beggars belief. The only thing missing is the three for a tenner deal at Costcutter.
We were met at the airport by our friend, Jamel, who has been absolutely amazing. Giving up not only her bed and home but also her precious time off. Imagine this...we went straight from the airport to a party! I told you it was like being at home. It sniffs us out wherever we go.
We have found work with an institute called Wall Street. Our training starts tomorrow and lasts for two weeks. We are hoping to be placed on the jungle programme which is two weeks on, two weeks off. We fly from Quito to the nearest airport and are then airlifted by helicopter to the camp! We will have private rooms, air conditioning, a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts and a five star gourmet chef to make our tea. Oh yeah, and a bodyguard! No pictures, please!!!
The downsides are that it´s pretty confined, but as we´ll be teaching most of the day it doesn´t really matter. The best bits (apart from all of the above) are the fact that our wages are excellent for this area ( after tax and visa costs, just under $500) and we only work two weks of the month. The travel opportunities on our holidays are endless. Excellent.
We just have to hope and pray that we have a good interview and get to go. Fingers crossed everyone and send out the good vibes!
We are sorry that we haven´t really had time to update this blog. We still have Barcelona and the wonderful CELTA people to tell you about. Oh, and not forgetting Max in Madrid! We couchsurfed with him in Pinto and had an amazing time. If you have a minute you should check out http://www.couchsurfing.com/ and get involved.
To everyone back home....we hope you are all well and we are sorry that the weather sucks at the moment. We love you all. HA HA HAAAAA!
Congratulations to all the graduates ....and special ones to Adnan who´s gonna be a Daddy!!!!
In a bit, yo

Please don't go, don't gooooooo!
Our congratulations to Marcus and Corny! Their civil ceremony will be held at Bolton Registry Office this summer. Unfortunately, we won't be there to see you swap rings, so you'll have to send us some pics!
Jo and I would like to thank our mentor and spiritual guide, Salford Pete, for his words of wisdom over the last couple of years. Just as well we were usually too drunk to remember any of it.

We would like to thank everybody for making the effort to come down and celebrate with us. It was an ace night! Unfortunately it has led to the severe depletion of brain cells, so we will have to sign out for now and conserve our energy for Barcelona. Wooo!!!!
